Assistant Instructor – Musical Theatre

Responsibilities
Work with the lead instructor to prepare 1.25 hour class plans for beginner and intermediate musical theatre participants. Assist lead instructor with 1.25 hours for groups of children between the ages of 8-12 musical theatre.
Keep children safe at all times while teaching.
Attend all classes for which they are requested to teach, on time and prepared to work and will present themselves in a professional manner at all times. Specific dates communicated beforehand can be covered by substitute instructors.
Take good care of props and costumes loaned to them for the class, understanding that any damage caused other than during the class (i.e. spilt coffee) will be their liability.
Adhere to all known City Policies including the Code of Conduct, Supporting Children and Youth and the RCTC Class Agreement policies.
Send monthly invoices for remuneration.
Qualifications:
Background in teaching/instruction preferred
Background in Musical Theatre preferred
Fluent in English
Requirements:
Emergency or Standard First Aid and CPR-C
Police Information Check with the Vulnerable Sector
