We have a variety of ways you can contribute. From a few hours a month sitting on our board, to preparation of our productions, building sets or manning the Front of House.

We are a friendly, diverse and open group, looking to welcome active and interested volunteers.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

Pre-production

  • set building & painting
  • costume help
  • prop design/purchase/creation
  • Backstage (assistant stage manager)
  • prop master
  • Costume assistant

Production

  • backstage hands
  • assistant stage manager
  • Front of house assistant (encourage people to fill out free ticket draw)
  • 50/50 sales assistant (must be 19+)

Safety Requirements

Please note, all volunteers 16 years and older need to complete a Police Record Check.

You can do this online at https://justice.gov.bc.ca/criminalrecordcheck if you have your BC Services Card.

To submit an online request for a criminal record check, you must:

  • Be at least 12 years of age as of today’s date.
  • Have an access code provided by your organization.
    (RCTC = BDSXGAVC8G )
  • Have your identity verified by using your BC Services Card. The BC Services Card provides secure access to government online services.
  • If you do not have a BC Services Card or if you live outside of the province, please contact your organization for a manual consent form.

If you don’t have a BC Health Card Please fill out the ‘Volunteer – Consent to a Criminal Record Check Cover Page’ and email it to crystal@rctheatreco.com who will complete it.
