Today we are introducing Nigel Brooke who is playing Adam Lucas! Nigel has volunteered with RCTC for many years as our in house lighting designer and we are so excited to have him on stage for “Ghost of a Chance”!
A word from Nigel: Nigel began his theatrical career with a critically-acclaimed turn as ‘Tree’ and ‘Candy Cane’ in “Hansel and Gretel” at age five. More recently (and relevantly), he is one of the founding members of Shadows and Dreams Theatre Company, recently performing there as ‘Belarius’ in “Cymbeline”, ‘Adriana’ in “Comedy of Errors” and ‘Mercutio’ in “Romeo and Juliet”. He has designed lights for dozens of productions around the Lower Mainland, including “Screwball Comedy”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Blythe Spirit” for the Royal Canadian Theatre Company, where he is also the resident lighting designer, “Holy Mo and Spew Boy” for Gallery 7 Productions, “Henry V” for Stone’s Throw Productions / Pacific Theatre, and many more. In real life, Nigel is a computer programmer, and, oddly enough, does this for “fun”.

It is time to meet the cast! “Ghost of a Chance” runs at the Surrey Arts Centre from October 14-15 and at the Anvil Theatre, New Westminster from October 22-29.
Today we are introducing Amanda Haggett who is playing Crystal! Amanda has worked with RCTC before as a summer student (Thanks to the Federal Summer Jobs Grant) and as a prop designer for our annual pantomimes. This is her first time on stage for RCTC.
A word from Amanda: Amanda (she/her) is beyond excited to be returning to the stage in this delightfully funny show. Pre-pandemic, Amanda received her BFA in Acting as well as took part in bringing to life many shows in different creative roles: including acting, directing, playwriting and hot-glue gun extraordinaire. Select acting credits include: Imogen in Cymbeline (Shadows & Dreams), Gerda in The Snow Queen (SAMC Theatre) and Diana Barry in Anne of Green Gables: The Musical (SAMC Theatre). A big thank you to this marvelous cast, crew, my stellar partner Tiff, and to Patricia for letting me keep my purple hair. Enjoy the show!
It is time to meet the cast! Subscriber tickets are available until October 14th. Call now to save 20% off your normally priced ticket.
Today we are introducing Ivy Padmos who is playing Bethany! You may have seen Ivy in two of RCTC’s productions last year. She starred in “Screwball Comedy” and “Blithe Spirit”.
A word from Ivy: Ivy Padmos is a multi-disciplinary Artist from Calgary, Alberta. Ivy moved to Vancouver in 2019 and has been making this beautiful city her home and creating as much art as possible in the spaces she’s been invited into. Past theatre credits include Mary (Screwball, The Royal Canadian Theatre Company), Elvira (Blithe Spirit, The Royal Canadian Theatre Company), Sue/Suzie (Happy Death Day, Confederation Theatre), Melissa (Vibrant, IGNITE! Theatre Festival). Ivy is very blessed to be gracing the stage with the Royal Canadian Theatre Company for the third time. Now, sit back, relax and prepare to get spooked. Or… Maybe you’ll fall in love instead?
