The Royal Canadian Theatre Company presents a suspenseful, hair-raising experience to open its season this fall. Woman in Black promises to curdle your blood this Halloween season. Arthur Kipps hires a skeptical young actor to help him recount his terrifying story and rid himself of the fear that tortures him daily. This story unfolds during the funeral of an elderly recluse, where Arthur sees the Woman in Black: A mysterious, ethereal, wraithlike creature creating an atmosphere of foreboding, ominousness and mystery wherever she goes. Her spectral grace and piercing eyes mesmerize and terrify the locals, the mere mention of her frightens them. Audiences are invited to witness Arthur’s journey as he overcomes his tantalizing fears. As you delve deeper into Kipps’ darkest memories and fears, the line between reality and make-believe blurs. Will they manage to exorcise the fear gripping Kipps’ soul? This show is suitable for children 12 years and older.
