Improvising is something we do in our everyday lives. We make up answers on the spot, we think about how we will tell old stories to new people or we re-imagine ourselves winning an argument hours later.
This class will practice improv skills that we all use on a daily basis and help develop quick thinking in our youth. RCTC is re-starting the Improv Club led by local actor, Crystal Weltzin and other professionals. We will be providing an open space for you to develop your skills and build an acting arsenal helpful for any job.
Come meet new people, experiment in a safe space and get silly on a weekly basis.
Improv classes will be stationary for students safety. Students will practice quick thinking skills and on the spot performance. Practice includes group story telling, quick joke building and telling, social distanced scene building and practice, quick character creation and performance, and practice of general improvisation through games.
There is a limit of 5 students per class so we are offering two classes on Wednesday nights. Classes are 45 minutes with a 15 minute turnaround for sanitization.
You can join for $15 per session – due to COVID-19 protocol we can only accept pre-paid registrations on this site.
